Show off your long-range shooting skills at the Big Bore Shoot on Saturday, June 25! There will be 3 events, firearms and ammo is provided, cost for each shooter is just $10, and there will be prizes for the winner. This will definitely be a challenge with a bang!
Helping hands are needed on Sunday, July 10th, to unload a shipment of trap and skeet clays into the garage. The truck should be here about 10am, and shouldn’t take more than an hour. If you’re available that morning, please stop by to help the club. Thanks.
A new feature of the website is a classifieds section, where members can list items they have for sale or are looking to purchase. Club gift shop items are also listed and can be purchased at any monthly meeting.

The Spring 2016 newsletter [pdf] was mailed last week, going out by both email and regular mail. Come start the season with the Lowell Sportsmen’s Club’s Spring Fling!
The public is welcome, and events include Black Powder Lucky Target Shoot, Trap & Skeet fields open, .22 Plinking, Rifle Range Fun Shoot (loaners will be available), and the Snack Shack will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers all day long.
Whether you’re new to or curious about shooting sports, or an expert shot, everyone will have fun. Bring the Kids! Rain or Shine.

The doubles field is opening for the season on Sunday, May 1st, at 1:00 PM, and will be open every other weekend through October. The complete series of weekends is:

All types of merchandise available from many different vendors. Sporting goods, outdoor items, crafts, clothing, household items, and much more. Shopping starts promptly at 8am and ends at 1pm – come to shop, stay for lunch!

You may have noticed that the end of the clubhouse hall, where the taxidermy animal display is, has been under construction. Club members Dale Maybury and Doug Perry are evaluating each animal and item in the display, deciding what can be cleaned and reused, and what should be returned to the family that donated them to the club.
After that, they’ll reframe the walls, paint, and develop a realistic looking display with the animals, complete with logs and other natural props. We’ll also be getting a wall mural to make the scene look even more lifelike.
When you see them around the club, let them know what you think of all their hard work!
Save the Date! On Saturday, March 26, 2016, the club is holding a special meeting to vote on the Big Bore Range Improvement Project. There will be a presentation of the history, current status, and funding options of the project, followed by a vote of the members to either proceed or not.
Door prize and lunch are provided, so please attend – your input is important!
