New Floor for the Skeet Shelter

Next time you’re at the club, be sure to stop by the Skeet Field to check out the new floor installed this week in the shelter (or see the picture below).

The volunteer crew of members consisted of Clive Nelson, Buzz Brody, Gary Dear, led by the intrepid Ralph Nardone, did all the work in a day and a half, and it’s a top-notch job. The new red paver floor will cut down on the dust from the previous stone and gravel floor, is much nicer to stand on and clean, and will also shed water better. Thanks to these members for putting in some real back-breaking work to improve the club.

The Skeet shelter also received a new chimney for the wood-burning stove, in preparation for winter skeet shooting. The stove is on its last legs however, so if you have an extra wood-burning stove you’re not using and would be willing to donate to the club, please talk to Clive Nelson or Ralph Nardone and it will be put to good use immediately.
